A Magical Evening

Yesterday we hooked up with our dear friend and traveling companion, MaryAnn, who is George's mother. We have traveled to Europe twice and Alaska once with MaryAnn and Sandy Prenzi, who are mother in law's of each other's kids.

MaryAnn came over with her daughter Sue and Sue's daughter Jamie and we all went to lunch at Pi's - excellent Chinese food. MaryAnn, Mickey and I sat outside and visited until George got home from work and then we sprang into action. Georgie mowed the ditch at the front of the property with a rotary mower. George weedwhacked around their many trees and Mickey & I took turns mowing the back lawn on the riding lawn mower. After we were done, we ate outside in the screen tent - lotta bugs here! It finally got dark around 10 pm. It was so relaxing to sit inside the tent, safe from bug bites, but still able to enjoy the cool of the evening. Frogs croaked in the creek behind us, fireflies gently blinked and the sky was full of stars. We had a great conversation about so many things. It was one of those evenings that one treasures forever.
